Lee’s Summit Memory Cafe

February 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Two entwined hearts with the text, "Lee's Summit Memory Cafe hosted by St. Anne's Episcopal Church." memory Cafe is an outreach program of St. Anne's.

You’re invited to join us for February’s Lee’s Summit Memory Café. Memory Cafe is a welcoming, supportive gathering designed for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners. The Memory Café provides a relaxed, stigma-free environment where participants can connect with others who share similar experiences, enjoy meaningful activities, and build relationships rooted in dignity, respect, and understanding.

Each gathering offers an opportunity for social engagement, conversation, and gentle enrichment in a calm and friendly setting. Activities may include music, art, storytelling, games, or guided discussion, all thoughtfully chosen to encourage connection rather than performance. There is no pressure to remember, participate in a certain way, or meet expectations. Participants are invited to engage at their own comfort level, knowing they are welcomed exactly as they are.

Care partners and family members are an essential part of the Memory Café experience. This gathering creates space not only for shared enjoyment, but also for mutual support and encouragement among those walking the caregiving journey. Many attendees find comfort in connecting with others who understand the challenges and joys of supporting a loved one with memory changes.

Lee’s Summit Memory Café is open to all, regardless of diagnosis, background, or stage of memory loss. Whether you are newly navigating memory concerns or have been on this path for some time, you are welcome to join us. The café is not a clinical program or support group, but a community-centered experience focused on hospitality, relationship, and quality of life.

We invite you to come, share in conversation, enjoy simple activities, and be part of a caring community where everyone belongs.
