You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream for God’s Dream!

Children are warmly invited to take part in “You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream for God’s Dream!”, a joyful and meaningful companion event happening during the Know Your Rights Training at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. This special gathering is designed just for kids, offering a fun, welcoming space to enjoy ice cream while learning about love, unity, and God’s vision for the world through Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s beloved book God’s Dream.
As grownups participate in the training, children will come together to listen to the story, share conversation, and explore themes of compassion, inclusion, and hope in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Through storytelling and simple discussion, kids will be encouraged to reflect on how God’s dream includes kindness, justice, and caring for one another—values that help shape hearts and faith from an early age.
Of course, no gathering would be complete without a sweet treat! The event includes an ice cream social, adding to the joy and sense of celebration as children connect with friends old and new. This combination of learning and fun makes for a relaxed and memorable experience that children will look forward to.
This companion event is open to all children and families in the community. Whether your child is familiar with church activities or joining us for the first time, they will be welcomed with warmth and hospitality.
We invite families to bring their children to enjoy this special time of stories, ice cream, and community while adults attend the Know Your Rights Training. It’s a wonderful opportunity for all ages to grow together in faith, understanding, and connection.
